Decorating the Agatha Christie Themed Room

It's Agatha Christie week and we are celebrating. Kerry Hammond celebrates all year and even has a room devoted to the stories of Agatha Christie in her house. She here today to share photos of the sleuthful decor - including the David Suchet autograph above.

I am a huge Agatha Christie fan. I have read all of her books multiple times, and I own at least one copy of everything she’s ever written. I also have a collection of books written by her and translated into foreign languages. I get these when I’m on vacation in a foreign country. I own her biography, autobiography, and the books about her Secret Notebooks, written by John Curran.

Where is a fan to go after this? Well, there are the movies. There have been many movies and television shows made from each of her books. I love watching all of them, and own quite a few on DVD.

To take it to the next level, I found some movie posters online and had them matted and framed. They decorate the walls of one of my guest rooms that we call “Take Two” because of the movie theme. I even found a photo and autograph online of David Suchet, the actor who I believe made the best Hercule Poirot. Let’s just hope it’s his actual signature and not a fake.

I thought I would share some photos with the Mystery Playground community to show how I’ve used Agatha Christie as a decorating theme.
