New York's Roving Bookstore

I came across this delightful roving and unmanned book cart in Union Square in New York City. It seems to be the NYC equivalent of the little library hutches full of free books in suburbs or rural areas (see below). It's a delightful and trusting concept.

Alas, for once I didn't have a book with me to leave. Maybe I'll run into New York's Original Roving Book Store another time.

  1. How cute. I like this concept. We have a bookshelf in my office where people bring in books to share and it's like our own little library.
