  4. I love all the twists she threw in and how every clue and red herring was neatly explained at the end. Also the way her books conveyed the atmosphere and culture of her place and time. I love Agatha!

  6. The first Christie book I read was 10 little Indians, I fell in love, and recently I've been trying to collect all of her works. I look for them at thrift stores, yard sales etc. I've managed to collect a lot, but not nearly all of them. :)

  11. I started reading mysteries with Nancy Drew. My next mystery author? Agatha Christie. Her books are a great way to get lost in another world, and keep you guessing.

  12. My first "adult" mystery was an Agatha Christie - a Miss Marple. I think it might have been the one involving two sisters and a pair of nail scissors (it's been 50 years, give me a break). I interrupted my mother while she was reading (a big no-no) to blather on at her about how muck I liked Nancy Drew and how cool she was. My mother's reply was something along the lines of, "Here, read a real mystery instead of something about that nosy *itch." And I was hooked - Christie, Stout, and J D Carr until Luci "The Poison Lady" Zahray introduced me to the whole rest of the world of mystery a quarter of a century ago.
