  2. I would have a hard time picking my favorite (although The Body in the Library would be up there). So I will have to say I just love Poirot!

  4. I love all her Poirot and Miss Marple mysteries, but I think one of my favorites is The Clocks. Poirot doesn't really make a grand entrance until the end when he of course solves the case, but he, along the way, critiques a few mystery writers which is a bit of fun.

  11. I love Hercule Poirot... he has birthed so many other wonderful characters and I think more has been commented on him than just about any other well-loved character in modern mystery! He has layers and layers and I'd love to see how one of our stars like Hank might deal with him in a modern version - an update of Hercule Poirot.. Thelma Straw in Manhattan, longtime fan of Malice and all mystery writers, published and not-yet- pubbed.pubbed!!!!! Keep trying , everyone, there is your road ahead yet!!!!!!!!!

  13. Wait, we have to have a FAVORITE? Hmmm...I think it would be Murder on the Orient Express. I loved the tradition of gathering all the suspects in one room and then revealing the culprit and it was used to particularly good effect in that one :D

  14. Thanks to a friend who attends many conferences with her husband (Rosemary and Larry Mild) I often walk around Honolulu carrying a black bag with red lettering: Congratulations Joan Hess on 20 years of Mystery, Mayhem and Mirth. No one has called me "Joan" yet, but I'm pleased to see Joan's picture here today! Aloha, Gail

  17. Five Little Pigs (aka Murder in Retrospect) in which Poirot solves a cold case. The Poirot TV version is faithful to the original and contains all the clues the viewer needs to solve the case.
