Simple steampunk earrings are on the DIY agenda today on Crafty Thursday. These take all of five minutes and the result is pretty fun.
Here's what you need:
- E6000 Glue
- Gears (I got mine at Amazon, but they have them at Michaels)
- Earring hooks - to match the gears
- O-Rings - to match the gears
- Jewelry pliers
Step One:
Glue the rings to the back of the gears. I used enough to cover the ring once it was attached, but not more. Be sure and wipe away the excess. The E6000 dries pretty quickly, but I let mine dry overnight just to be on the safe side.
Step Two:
Use the pliers to open up the loop at the bottom of the earring hooks. Slide the ring in and then close it.
You are done. I told you they were easy. With your extra time, check out our steampunk time travel watch face pin.
