Easy Steam Punk Earrings

Simple steampunk earrings are on the DIY agenda today on Crafty Thursday. These take all of five minutes and the result is pretty fun. 

Here's what you need:

• E6000 Glue
• Gears (I got mine at Amazon, but they have them at Michaels)
• Earring hooks - to match the gears
• O-Rings - to match the gears
• Jewelry pliers

Step One:
Glue the rings to the back of the gears. I used enough to cover the ring once it was attached, but not more. Be sure and wipe away the excess. The E6000 dries pretty quickly, but I let mine dry overnight just to be on the safe side. 

Step Two:
Use the pliers to open up the loop at the bottom of the earring hooks. Slide the ring in and then close it.
