Fall in a Cup: Autumn Inspired Tea

Fall is here, and that means it's tea time. Anytime is tea time when you're reading mysteries, but I especially love the special fall teas that flood the market this time of year. Here is a run down of the ones I tried this year.

1) Harry & David/Republic of Tea Spiced Apple Cider Tea - This tea really does smell like cider and without the calories. It is caffeine free which makes it perfect for fall nights or Saturday afternoons. I only just found this a few weeks ago, and I'm already planning to order another tin.

2) Twinings Pumpkin Spice Chai - This has caffeine, and it's perfect for morning for me. The flavor is subtle enough that it doesn't interfere with whatever I eat for breakfast. I found it last year, and I have to admit that I do drink it all year.

3) Republic of Tea - Pumpkin Ginger Tea - This is a mid- morning favorite. It's perfect for a pre-lunch energy surge. The pumpkin and ginger go surprisingly well together. If it didn't have caffeine, I would drink it more often.

4) Yogi - Soothing Caramel Bedtime Tea - This is such a great caffeine-free tea. The caramel flavor is light and delicious. It's also great when you have a cold.

5) Republic of Tea - Maple Pecan - I did not like this tea. The flavors were too strong for me. I'd skip this one and focus on the others.

Now you know about my favorite fall teas, I'd love to hear about yours.
