Fallen and the Tahitian Tingle

Carey Baldwin joins us today for Drinks with Reads to match her new book, Fallen, with the perfect drink...The Tahitian Tingle.

Fallen

A body just fell from the sky onto Hollywood Boulevard.
When a beautiful prostitute is dumped onto the Walk of Fame, FBI profiler Atticus (Spense) Spenser and forensic psychiatrist Dr. Caitlin (Caity) Cassidy are called in to solve one of their most baffling cases yet. The media's dubbed him the Fallen Angel Killer—a crazed murderer who's leaving the bodies of high-priced call girls in Los Angeles tourist traps.
Then the killer raises the stakes, demanding that a mysterious celebrity publicly admit to his sinful secrets—or he'll dispose of his latest kidnapped escort. With every "john" the team exposes in their search for Celebrity X, another Hollywood secret is revealed and another charmed life is left in ruins. With time running out, Cassidy and Spenser will do anything to find the twisted serial killer…before another innocent woman winds up the next grotesque tourist attraction.

And the Tahitian Tingle

The Tahitian Tingle is the perfect drink for Spense and Caity, but they may never get to enjoy one. You see it’s hard to get romantic over a dead body posed salaciously at the wax museum, or while rescuing a “fallen angel” trapped in a lion’s cage. That’s why Spense wants to whisk Caity away for a Tahitian interlude. He’s even convinced her to come with him to sort out the crazy connection between them. Alas, every time they’re set to travel, another murder drops in their laps, ruining the plan. But just because Spense and Caity haven’t yet indulged in the sweet taste of a Tahitian Tingle, that doesn’t mean you have to wait for yours.

Just pour of 1 shot of Blue Curacao over ice in a tumbler
Add 1 shot of vodka
1 shot of raspberry cordial
Lemonade to taste
Sway your hips to a distant drumbeat while shaking the tumbler
Pour, then top with pineapple and your favorite tropical flower

Enjoy!
